Cecil E. Crane, 81, a retired businessman, formerly of 303 E. Columbia St., Attica, died Friday April 22, 1977 in Community Hospital, Williamsport, where he had been a patient only one hour. He had been ill health four years. Mr. Crane resided at Woodland Manor Nursing Home for the past four years. He was born at Independence and was a lifelong resident of Attica. He owned and operated Crane's Tavern there for several years. He was first married to Bell Hann who died in 1934. His second marriage in 1938 at Attica was to Ethel Hall, who preceded him in death 1974. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Iva) Mitchell of Rockville; one stepson, Walter Dove of Monticello; and sister, Mrs. John (Babe) Berlin of Attica. Also surviving are two grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death. Services were held Monday from the Maus Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. --tch
